Shout out to SpartanKidsFoundation.org for their support of Blessings in a Backpack on #GivingTuesdayNow! We raised more than $34,600 that will help provide bags of food for kids who might otherwise go hungry during COVID-19, and when they return to school.

Robin Rueff, Communications Manager, Blessings in a Backpack
Nicholas J. Lee

Thank you for your donation to our Brockton schools. I can assure you that I will be able to provide food to some our neediest families, and there are many students that rely on the meals we provide.

Nicholas J. Lee, Director, Physical Education K-12, Brockton Public Schools, Brockton, Massachusetts

Because of your generosity, we are able to provide healthy meals to the children of first
responders who MUST go to work regardless of personal risk to save lives during the
Coronavirus pandemic.

BETH DARMSTADTER, Chief Philanthropy Officer, YMCA of Greater Cleveland.

A lot of physical and cognitive pieces are a big part of this unit, but one of my favorite pieces to think about the whole child was the character (GRIT) education taught through the Spartan pillars.

JENNIFER SMITH, Physical Education Curriculum Specialist for Denver Public Schools, and nation's "Elementary Physical Education Teacher of the Year" in 2018.

I want to thank the Spartan Kids Foundation for awarding our program additional funds that have supported our growth. We have been able to add additional class times and impact more students with the new equipment we have purchased.

MATT HOGANSON, Assistant Principal and Englewood Colorado School District Wellness Coordinator. Spartan Kids Foundation Fitness Grant recipient • Englewood, Colorado

BOKS started as a program for younger children, but what we noticed is that unless students were highly specialized or able to afford expensive sports teams, they were dropping out of physical activity all together by the time they reach their freshman year of high school.

KATHLEEN TULLIE, founder and executive director of the BOKS program.
Rick Houpt

On behalf of the kids and families of The Home for Little Wanderers, I want to thank you for your extraordinary gift of 100 free passes to Sunday’s Spartan Race at Fenway Park. Because of your generosity, the 2019 Spartans for The Home team numbered 112! More than twice our size last year.

RICK HOUPT, Senior Manager, Corporate Relations, The Home for Little Wanderers • Boston, Massachusetts
